Cromer Pier unveiled as latest Poppyland Radio sponsor

Poppyland Radio have unveiled Cromer Pier as their latest high-profile supporter. Cromer Pier, incorporating the famous 500 seat Pavilion Theatre, Bar, Tides Bistro and Gift Shop, is sponsoring ‘Beyond the Beaten Track’ – a weekly show on Poppyland Radio presented by Norfolk folk rock legend Scott Butler.

AWARD-WINNING SHOWS

Cromer Pier is now one of only five end of pier theatres in the UK, is home to the only full season end of pier show in the world and is home to the annual ‘Folk on the Pier’ music festival. As Scott explained “At Poppyland Radio we’re all volunteers and rely on sponsorship to deliver our award-winning shows. I already work with Cromer Pier to produce ‘Folk on the Pier’ so am delighted they’re sponsoring my radio show now too”.

‘Beyond the Beaten Track sponsored by Cromer Pier’ is broadcast on Wednesdays at 7pm and Sundays at 6pm. It can also be downloaded ‘on demand’ via the Poppyland Radio website.

Poppyland Radio director Mike Goldwater is looking forward to working with Cromer Pier. “The Pavilion Theatre and Poppyland Radio are important in the community for so many reasons. By working together and supporting each other, we can really help to make North Norfolk an even greater place to live and to visit.”

TOP CLASS VISITOR EXPERIENCE

Deb Lewis, Marketing Manager for Cromer Pier & The Pavilion Theatre, is delighted to reveal the brand new look Pavilion Bar following the recent investment from North Norfolk District Council. “The upgrade will enhance the overall customer experience, whether visiting the theatre for The Cromer Pier Show, Cromer Pier Christmas Show, one of the prestige touring shows, or enjoying a drink above the waves with those unrivalled views of the North Norfolk Coast. The toilets, including assistance facilities, have benefited from a complete upgrade too. The whole visitor experience is unique and top class from start to finish.”

‘THE TIME OF OUR LIVES’ - EXCLUSIVE MOTHER’S DAY PERFORMANCE

Deb Lewis was a studio guest during a recent episode of ‘The Mardle’, the live Thursday afternoon chat show on Poppyland Radio. Deb highlighted the eclectic variety of top shows coming up.

On Mothering Sunday, the 19th March for one night only, you can see ‘The Time of our Lives’ – the new smash hit show from the producers of Rock for Heroes – featuring movie soundtracks from the 80s from Dirty Dancing to Top Gun and everything in between. The producers have invited ticket holders to dress up as their favourite 80s character, sing along, dance and laugh the night away. Special offer tickets are up for grabs from cromerpier.co.uk.

On behalf of the fifty volunteer presenters on Poppyland Radio, Mike Goldwater thanked Cromer Pier for their support. “Our continued success and ambitious community plans for the future rely on funding. We’re indebted to Cromer Pier and will be working hard to give them exceptional value-for-money by promoting all the great shows and other events they produce.”
