Orbital Training provides Basic Life Support for Poppyland Radio presenters and sponsors

Kirsty Hawkins of Orbital Safety Training is providing Basic Life Support Training for Poppyland Radio presenters and sponsors. The sessions will cover The Theory of Resuscitation, Incident Management, Basic Life Support and The Recovery Position.

The courses will be provided free of charge at The Pod in Northrepps, the new studio complex that is the home of Poppyland Radio where Studio 1, Studio 2 and the Broadcast Media Training Centre are located.

The 3 hr courses will take place on 16 and 22 May from 4pm. Numbers are limited so those wishing to participate are advised to reserve a place as soon as possible.

Kirsty is fully qualified and experienced in training delegates of all levels, from complete beginners to professional medics. She took up her first trainer role with the British Red Cross in 2004 before being invited to join the First Aid Training Team at Thames Valley Police. Here she taught everything from Basic First Aid for Police Officers to First Aid for Firearms Officers and Police Medics. In 2015 Kirsty established Orbital Safety Training, determined to provide more people with potentially life saving knowledge and practical skills. Even in her spare time, Kirsty puts her skills to good use as a volunteer Community First Responder for the Ambulance Service and was on duty at the launch event for Poppyland Radio in 2022, although thankfully was not called upon on that occasion.

To reserve your place, email Poppyland Radio stating which date you are able to attend.
