In the latest edition of Home Truths on Poppyland Radio, Mike Goldwater interviewed special studio guest Danny Skipper. Danny is a Household Cavalry veteran and founder of Skipper Recruit, a specialist recruitment and training company based in North Walsham.
During the show, Danny revealed some home truths about his childhood in Coventry, his schooling, moving to North Norfolk and his time in the Army, including his experience in the front line in Afghanistan. He also told us how and why he established Skipper Recruit, and how he helps local people find work as professional drivers, and as skilled tradespeople in the construction industry.
Before the show, Mike and Danny were chatting about Poppyland Radio, and Danny was particularly interested to know how the station is run and funded. At the very end of the show, as Mike was bringing the edition to a close, he asked Danny if Skipper Recruit would like to sponsor the show. Danny didn't need to be asked twice and agreed live on air!
True to his word, Danny signed the contract and Poppyland Radio are delighted to announce their latest supporter and the official show sponsor for Home Truths - Skipper Recruit.
