The 2025 Poppyland Radio Awards celebrate all that's good about the businesses, enterprises and people of North Norfolk.

How do the Poppyland Radio Awards work?

Poppyland Radio listeners and members of the public are invited to nominate the best businesses, organisations, groups, facilities and people. A specially invited panel of VIP judges will then scrutinise each entry and draw up a final shortlist for each of the nine awards categories. From 1 July, the public can then vote for their favourite finalist in each category.

We need YOU to nominate a business you admire (even if it's your own), and anyone who deserves some well-deserved recognition. Each entry can be nominated in multiple categories, but businesses must be based in North Norfolk (ie: within the NNDC boundaries). If you're nominating a 'Local Treasure', they too need to be based in North Norfolk.

Judging

Once all the nominations are in, our panel of VIP judges will go through each entry and come up with a shortlist of three per category. There are nine categories to choose from, so we'll end up with 27 finalists.

The Public Vote!

Once the shortlist is announced, it's over to you! Read about each finalist and cast your vote online. You can vote in all nine categories, or just pick the entries that you think are most deserving.

We're expecting the finalists to pitch enthusiastically to win as many votes as possible. Look out for their social media posts as this is your opportunity to be a 'dragon' and decide who's earned your precious votes.

The Gala Awards Event

The winners will be revealed in October at a star-studded Gala Awards Night held in the prestigious Ballroom at The Cliftonville on the Cromer seafront. Andrew Brammer, Poppyland Radio presenter and creator of the ever-popular Stumpy Sanderson's 70s Stories show, will host the event.
